Rupture: who ruptures and who does not
Which esvas accept the Rupture Reagent and which never rupture, reagent or no reagent.

What it is
Rupture is decided by the esva, not by the reagent: only a normal esva, with a free apparatus slot, takes the ruptured form. This page exists so you can check that before you hand over the slot.
How I do it
Before you startnormal esva Only a normal esva ruptures. That is the single entry point into the ruptured form.requiredFree apparatus slot The reagent takes the slot. If an apparatus is equipped, remove it first.required
How to read the gate before equipping:
- Read the esva's recordIn the party, open the esva and see what it is: normal, deviation or Edge Case. Only the normal one goes on.Party → esva
- Free the slotIf an apparatus sits in the slot, take it out. The slot is single and the reagent will take all of it.Party → esva → Apparatus
- Equip and checkWith a normal esva and a free slot, put in the Rupture Reagent. The ruptured form comes at once; if it does not, the esva is not normal.Party → esva → Apparatus
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Ruptured form openedA normal esva with a free slot starts fighting in the ruptured form and returns to normal when the reagent comes out.Only with a normal esva and a free apparatus slot. Outside that, the reagent does not take.
What it costs
Deviation never rupturesRupture and deviation are mutually exclusive branches. A deviation esva does not take the ruptured form, reagent or no reagent. An Edge Case never rupturesEdge Case species sit outside Rupture. The reagent does not take on them. One slot, one choiceWhile the reagent is equipped, the esva carries no apparatus.
